We are very excited to kick off our 2nd annual Cakes for Kids campaign on May 1st. A percentage of cake sales for participating Baskin Robbins stores will be donated to Doernbecher Childrens' Hospital. This year, we have our very own Portland Thunder professional arena football team on board to help create excitement and spread the word about our campaign. Six players will be joining us as we visit the children at Doernbecher with clown cones and teddy bears on Friday, May 15th at 1:00 pm.

Our cakes are one a kind. All of our cakes are made fresh in the store with the highest quality cake and ice cream. Our cakes are made fresh, right in the store with our very own ingredients. Custom orders are our specialty. With so many flavors of ice cream to choose from, our skilled decorators, and your imagination, there's no limit to the possibilities!

A list of participating locations will be posted here on May 1st so you can pitch in to help find a cure for children's cancer

Baskin Robbins Second Annual Scoop Fest - The 22nd, 23rd and 24th of April, 2014!

What an amazing three days! Despite the dismal weather and constant rain we had a wonderful turn out. We never thought any less, we are Oregonians! A little rain can not stop us when it comes down to bringing our community and friends together.

To kick off this wonderful event we incorporated our Cakes for Kids fundraiser. Click here to learn more about how you can give back to your community. We also hosted our second annual Toy Drive for the Gladstone Fire Department. Our generous community donated a plethora of prizes for a raffle. To enter the raffle, all you had to do was donate a toy! But, going past the incentives, we all came together to help each other throughout the community. That is why we do this event each year: to give help to those who are in need.

To go along with these three wonderful days was a lot of live entertainment! To start it all off we had Mark Meek serenading us all with his wonderful voice. Then Mr. Cash entertained us by playing his saxophone. We had the Papalotl Mexican dancers, Chris Cakes flipping the best pancakes around and the Fire Department! The Police department also graced us with their presence. Both the Fire and Police departments helped scoop ice cream this year also! We also had a wonderful A Capella Quartet,  the New History Minstrels, sing to customers. Later that night the Rose City Timberliners appeared, and the entire ensemble filled the store with their booming voices!
Mark and Dave from KPAM radio also came to the store and did a live broadcast in the midst of the ice cream scooping frenzy! Those brave men, we commend you.

Let us look past the super cheap ice cream and crummy weather. Let us look at each other. We all came together, a second year in a row, to help make this wonderful event flourish! Many thanks to all who donated prizes for the raffle, toys and money for the Toy Drive. Many thanks to all who bought cakes in support of children's cancer research, and many thanks to all who gave time out of their day to come perform and entertain the masses. Thanks to those who helped volunteer to scoop ice cream, and to those who bought ice cream! We could not have done it with out you all!

Until next time, take care, we will see you all next year, and stay tuned for more fun events in the coming months!

Gladstone Baskin Robbins loves kids! Every month, we distribute coupons for free ice cream cones to teachers in our community schools to give to a deserving student in their classrooms. We believe that accomplishment and citizenship deserves a reward.

It's our way of saying "Thank You" to the kids, families, and teachers in our wonderful community.

The pictures here are of past citizens of the month.

Food Fight

We'd like to thank everyone who came out to our Food Fight on August 31st to help raise funds for the Gladstone Fire Department Toy Drive. We had a lot of fun.

The ammunition was "rescued" food from local merchants - that is, rescued from the trash and pressed into service as projectiles.

The Gladstone Fire Department was on hand to clean up all the participants and the fight area.

Our sincere thanks to all who helped make this event a success!

Baskin Robbins Guest Appreciation Days - April 23, 24, 25, 2013

While other Baskin Robbins were serving ice cream at discount prices during the National Guest Appreciation days, Gladstone Baskin Robbins was giving back and building the community. During the event, Dalia and Steve Leitz revealed their mission of the heat - connecting community first and always.

Each evening the streets of Gladstone came alive as a huge fire truck from the Gladstone volunteer Fire Department pulled into the parking lot. Gladstone's finest, representing the police and fire departments made more than just cameo appearances. Police officers went to work serving ice cream to happy customers, while firemen educated families on fire safety and had their pictures taken with ecstatic guests.

Neighborhood associations hung their banners and dropped off their gifts to the Gladstone Fired Department's "Toy and Canned Food Drive." Local talent came and provided music, balloon design, face painting and more.
Represented were members of the Gladstone High School Band, barber shop quartet The New History Minstrels, and characters from the video game HALO were in attendance in full armor.

Special guests participated as well - Police Chief Jim Pryde, Fire Marshall Michael Funk as well as the Clackamas County District Attorney John Foote, County Clerk Sherry Hall, and representatives from the school board, local chambers of commerce and other community leaders. Alpenrose Dairy contributed bicycles to the toy drive and Baskin Robbins Franchise Manager Kim Birkland was on hand to serve ice cream. Representatives from the Gladstone Youth Coalition and Angels in the Outfield also contributed time and effort to make the three-day event a huge success.

Even though the national Baskin Robbins Guest Appreciation Days had come to an end, packages and food boxes continued to arrive throughout the day on Friday. Saturday marked the finale at the Gladstone Fire Station, as Baskin Robbins franchise owner Steve Leitz handed off many boxes of toys and canned food to the Gladstone Fire Department.

When asked, "What's next?" Leitz replied, "Onto the next community event!"
